Abstract
A new technique to generate high frequency microwave signal, which is sixteen times of microwave drive signal, using dual-parallel dual-drive Mach-Zender modulator and periodic band pass optical filter is proposed. A microwave signal tunable from 32 to 112 GHz is generated by tuning microwave drive signal from 2 to 7 GHz. The intensity of the generated microwave signal is maintained after transmission over 25-Km standard single-mode fiber. An electrical harmonic suppression ratio more than 20 dB is achieved.
