Visible Frequency Perfect Metamaterial Absorber for Refractive Index Sensing Application

Abstract

A visible frequency perfect metamaterial absorber having > 95% absorption is demonstrated using FDTD numerical analysis. The red-shifts in the absorption and reflection cross-point open up the possibility of measuring refractive index of the medium.
