Five–Layer Long Period Grating Architecture: A Tool for More Accurate Interpretation of Bio-molecular Interaction

Abstract

In this work we propose a five-layer model of a long period grating. The model redefines LPG sensitivity and accurately interprets bio-molecular interaction that occurs on the LPG surface. Experimental results are compared with theory.
