Abstract
In this paper we report LSPR sensor for the detection of ammonia gas. For this we have fabricated zinc oxide nanoparticle by Pichokshi method. We uncladed fibre of 1 cm from its middle portion. Further we have deposited the nanoparticle on this portion of the fiber by dip coating method. The concentration range of ammonia have been taken as 10 ppm – 100 ppm. We have passed the ammonia gas inside the gas sensing chamber and the corresponding absorption spectra have been recorded. The shift in the absorption peak is due to the change in the dielectric constant of the ammonia gas. When the gas molecule comes in contact with the zinc oxide it gets reacted and the dielectric constant of the sensor changes.
