On the regeneration of high-birefringence fibre Bragg gratings

Abstract

We obtained thermally regenerated fibre Bragg gratings in different types of polarization maintaining fibre optics. The evolution of the reflection bands during the regeneration process permits a detailed study of the birefringence.
