Influence of Lyapunov Exponent on the Characteristics of Chaotic Optical Signals from Bistable Acousto or Electro Optic Systems

Abstract

It has been observed that chaotic optical signals generated by bistable acousto or electro optic systems can be modeled as beta-distributed random processes. The dependence of the various properties of such signals on the Lyapunov exponent are investigated.
