Optical Parametric Amplification in Chalcogenide Step Index Fiber over Infrared Region

Abstract

Infrared radiation as broad as 1000nm is simulated by nonlinear parametric amplification in step index Chalcogenide fiber of length 20cm with a single CW pump near zero-dispersion wavelength ~ 2.94 μm of power 20 W.
