Ytterbium doped all solid Large Pitch Fiber made from powder sintering and vitrification

Abstract

We report on the study, the fabrication and the characterization of an all-solid Large Pitch Fiber (LPF) made from an innovative synthesis process based on a powder sintering and vitrification. This fiber is actively doped with ytterbium and presents a large core of 50μm.
