Abstract

The nonlinear optical properties of PicoGreen dye were measured using Z-scan technique and measurements were carried out at different incident intensities. Both open and closed Z-scan techniques were performed and results exhibited an intensity dependent nonlinear absorption coefficient and nonlinear susceptibility at a wavelength of 532nm. These results showed that PG has potential applications in nonlinear optics.
