Abstract

We propose a sensor scheme utilizing modes with orthogonal polarization states in ridge-waveguide geometry by employing a pair of LPGs. Simulations show very high sensitivity ~ 5200 nm/ARI over (1.33-1.34) RI range in S+C band.
