Loss Compensation for Surface Plasmon Resonances on Corrugated Gold Gratings Using an Amplifying Medium

Abstract

Preliminary results on compensation of the loss due to absorption for surface plasmons in corrugated gold gratings by using laser pumped Rhodamine-6G deposited on the gratings are reported.
