Very high repetition rate ps-laser for cost effective micromachining

Abstract

Ps-pulses are short enough for practically non-thermal ablation/micro-machining of many materials. New 500 kHz ps-laser fulfill industrial expectations: cost-effective, high rep rate, TTL-trigger for pulse control, compact, reliable. Examples and ablation rates are given.
