Digital-Preprocessed Analog-Multiplexed DAC Technology for High-Speed Optical Transmission

Abstract

Ultra-wide-band DAC subsystems for high-speed optical transmission are presented. A digital preprocessor, two CMOS sub-DACs, and an analog multiplexer enable us to generate arbitrary signals with electronic bandwidths of up to ~60 GHz.
