A Rapid Tunable Wavelength Converter Using a GCSR Laser

Abstract

High speed switching of wavelength converted 10Gb/s data is demonstrated using a Grating Assisted Coupler Sampled Reflector laser. High extinction ratio (>20dBm) and small power penalty over the 30nm wavelength range were observed.
