Plasmon ruler based on Fano resonance of a simple trimer nanostructures

Abstract

We propose a plasmon ruler based on Fano resonance of a trimer nanostructure. Fano line width and contrast ratio can be actively manipulated. The results can be used enhancing the ruler sensitivity greatly.
