Light-induced scattering and coherent optical oscillation in photorefractive PPLN:Y:Fe

Abstract

Observation of already known and new types of light-induced scattering in bulk periodically poled iron-doped lithium niobate is reported, together with the first demonstration of a degenerate coherent optical oscillator using this new photorefractive material.
