Abstract

We study the temporal behaviour of the phase-conjugated (pc) reflectivity and the signal amplification of a transmission grating written by four-wave mixing in a photorefractive Ba0.77Ca0.23TiO3 crystal (BCT). A setup of two interacting four- wave mixing processes with common signal and pc-signal waves is demonstrated, which allows the extension of the hologram storage time.
