Non-destructive Testing of Plastic Welding Joints with Terahertz Imaging

Abstract

We discuss the potential of pulsed terahertz imaging for non-destructive testing of plastic welding joints. Imperfections and contaminations within the weld joint face can clearly be detected by displaying the transmitted intensity.
