Abstract

We discuss detection of terahertz transients using electro-optic effect in an unbalanced AlGaAs/GaAs optical Fabry-Perot resonator. The resonator structure significantly enhances the electro-optic effect and allows THz detection by miniature probes. Application of the probes for THz near-field imaging will be discussed.
