Abstract

A method based on spatially resolved spectroscopy is developed, which directly recovers the scattering parameter and scaled chromophore concentrations from measured gradient of light-attenuation at multiple wavelengths. This method provides a more accurate estimate of tissue oxygenation, regardless of the unknown tissue scatter.
