Abstract
The origin of the optical nonlinearity of an organic polymeric composition including fullerene C70 and poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) was investigated by two- beam coupling and self-action of a cw laser beam at 633 nm, and spectroscopically. The local nonlinearity of the photorefractive polymer was found to be caused by the difference in polarizability of fullerene C70 and its light-induced anion-radicals, , etc.
