Silicon Nanoparticles: Correlating Spectral Properties with Brownian Dynamics

Abstract

Using a combination of spectroscopic methods and back focal plane interferometry we explore the correlation between scattering properties and translational/rotational Brownian dynamics of trapped asymmetric silicon nanoparticles that exhibit optical resonances.
