Optical Trapping on Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystal and Cell Viability Characterization

Abstract

We demonstrate higher trapping efficiency for cells on a two-dimensional photonic crystal. The viability is measured using yeast cells and the result shows exponential dependence on laser intensity.
