Abstract

We have demonstrated that electron beams are able to trap and manipulate solid Al nanoparticles inside molten submicron-sized Al-Si eutectic alloy droplets. Real-time plasmon imaging enabled to visualize the nanoparticles trapped in a liquid alloy.
