Abstract

We describe the mechanics of giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs) which are manipulated using a fiber-based dual-beam optical trap. We prepare GUVs encapsulating various concentrations and molecular weights of poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) polymer.
