Optical Bottles: Using Light to Confine and Analyze Nanoparticle Suspensions

Abstract

We present in this paper a new experimental method termed the optical bottle which uses optical trapping for the determination of the optical trapping energy per particle and the isothermal bulk modulus of the suspension.
