Abstract

We present a concept and show preliminary experimental results for a reversible in-plane actuator for solar focus activated lightguide coupling. By actuating at the location of focused sunlight and splitting the solar spectrum for actuation energy, this device aims to adaptively self-track and efficiently concentrate solar light into a planar waveguide.
