Active-Passive Data Fusion Strategies for Classification of the Shallow-water Seafloor

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The newest generation of airborne coastal mapping systems routinely produces simultaneous lidar and hyperspectral data. Recent investigations into fusion-based seafloor classification strategies indicate improved accuracies are achieved with high-level algorithms, as compared to pixel-based approaches.
