Abstract

Here will be presented recent calculations done on SiO2 nanowires, RuO2 nanotubes, and most recently efforts to set up and begin the process of modeling and simulating the combined nano- wires and nanotube system, which forms a complete nanocable. The nanocable structure has been fabricated in the laboratory, and experimental measurements of the nanocable transport properties have been made recently for varying nanocable diameters and lengths.
