Abstract

We propose a new approach for encoding two-dimensional patterns into mode spectra of a silicon cavity to realize sparse coding. An electric field distribution is affiliated with each cavity mode generated by the microcavity. The cavity is covered with a phase-change material layer, which enables the electric field distribution to be memorized and the images to be encoded into absorption spectra.
