A holographic 3D display using fast binary phase-mode phase spatial light modulator

Abstract

A 3D display using binary phase modulation is presented. It is necessary to improve the image quality by using the binary phase modulation due to the loss of the amplitude information and the binarization of the phase pattern. The optimization of the binary phase distribution by modified Fresnel ping-pong algorithm is presented. Numerical and experimental results using a high-speed spatial light modulator are also presented.
