Abstract

The atmospheric turbulence has severe impact on the performance of FSO link. The eddy created by the turbulence can be modelled as Gaussian shaped dielectric lens. We assume there are multiple sheets of eddies between the transmitter and the receiver. Assuming the eddy sizes to be Chi-Square distributed, outcomes of our simulation show good correlation with the analytical results of mean beam wander under different turbulence regimes classified by different Cn2 values.
