Efficient Mid-IR Generation in Reverse-Proton Exchanged Lithium Niobate Waveguides

Abstract

We report on the design and fabrication of reverse-proton-exchanged lithium niobate waveguides for difference-frequency generation of 3-4 micron radiation. 14 mW of singlefrequency CW power was generated at 3.3 microns.
