Femtosecond Laser Nanostructuring of Metals

Abstract

We report on various nanostructures produced through direct surface modification of metals using femtosecond laser pulses. We show that nanostructures are a natural consequence of femtosecond laser ablation. Optimal conditions for nanosctructuring are determined.
