Motion of Bio-hybrid Microswimmers in Optical Potentials

Abstract

The behavior of microswimmers in the form of half-gold-coated silica Janus spheres with attached bacteria through streptavidin–biotin binding is studied in harmonic optical potentials, as well as in more complex (speckle) optical potentials.
