Novel Inorganic Nano-scale Phosphorescencent Probe for One or Two-photon Oxygen Imaging

Abstract

A metal halide optical indicator for tissue oxygen imaging that circumvents the limitations of organometallic dyes is described. Photobleaching is not observed, advantageous for high speed confocal microscopy. Two photon oxygen imaging is under investigation.
