Abstract

Intraarterial mannitol is the main method of disruption of blood-brain barrier. The data collected using optical pharmacokinetics, tracer dyes and a chemotherapeutic revealed variation in disruption in rabbits. Optical monitoring could help better understand the drug pharmacokinetics.
