The future of high performance narrowband optical filters

Abstract

Narrow and ultra-narrowband optical filters provide high signal to noise selection in laser sensors, LIDAR imaging and free space communications. Design and manufacturing challenges for multi-cavity filters from the UV through infrared are discussed.
