High reflection coating on a silver nanorod to enhance directional radiation

Abstract

A high reflection dielectric multilayer was coated on the lateral side of silver nanorods at different deposition angles. Strong forward light scattering from wholly coated rod was observed and analyzed theoretically and experimentally.
