Abstract

Various small-molecule organic compounds can be evaporated like inorganic materials to form thin films. A number of organic layers were plasma-etched to produce antireflective nanostructures. Other organic layers show high UV absorption and were applied to protect UV-sensitive polymers. The ability of several small-molecule organic compounds will be discussed.
