Novel method to compute high reflectivity of multilayered mirrors with rugate features

Abstract

The electric field nonlinear amplitude equation is solved numerically, making no approximation regarding a smoothly or abruptly varying refractive index. This approach provides an alternative to compute the reflectivity of more realistic mirrors.
