Abstract
Quantum dots are uniquely suited for use as lumophores in light emitting devices for large-area planar lighting. We use the inorganic semiconductors as a charge transport layers and demonstrate devices with light emission. The low luminescence was attributed to luminescence quenching of the QDs in conductive electrodes, QD charging, and the imbalance in the polarity of charges injected into the device.
