Abstract

In this paper, the multilayer design method for p- and s-polarized long-range surface-plasmon-polariton (LRSPP) propagation is investigated in the prism-coupling configuration {prism/ coupling layer/silver film (20 nm)/ Ta2O5 layer/ air}. A normalized admittance diagram is used as a design tool to complete the LRSPP design. Two multilayer structures are realized for p-and s-polarization states at the designate angle θi = 65° at the wavelength λ = 632.8 nm.
