Comparison of thermal shifts in resonant grating waveguide structures and multilayer stacks

Abstract

Resonant grating waveguide structures may find application as narrowband reflection filters. We present a theoretical approach for calculating the thermal shift in such devices. The results are compared to thermal shifts in classical multilayer stacks.
