Towards resistant VUV coatings for Free Electron Laser down to 150 nm

Abstract

Research and development are currently trying to run storage ring FEL down to 150 nm with robust optics. VUV fluoride optics with protected oxide layers and enhanced metallic mirrors are investigated.
