Contribution of Ag surface plasmons to the optical properties of Ag/dielectric-material multilayers

Abstract

The optical properies and XPS spectra of silver/dielectric-material multilayers were investigated. It was found the surface plasmons of silver are generated in the silver/dielectric-material interface and largely contribute to the optical properties of these multilayers.
