Planarized Multilayer Composite Microstructures for Optical Function Integration

Abstract

We realize microstructures of composite materials (MCMs) for polarization control. Transmission only polarizers and dielectrics diffractive optics are demonstrated with features spanning 50 nm to a few micrometers. We elucidate a paradigm for functional integration.
