Abstract

Second harmonic interferometry basically depends on the nonlinear anisotropic crystals that build inter laser-cavity to induce/generate two laser frequencies have constant ratio in difference (λFundamental=2λSHG), that could provides an accurate laser metrology system. In this paper, spectroscopic analysis of a solid state frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser used in super heterodyne interferometer is demonstrated. The induced polarizations for the fundamental and second harmonic generated frequencies are mathematically described. The refractive indices for the generated frequencies in terms of the birefringent crystal axes that used inter laser cavity are reported. We have experimentally demonstrated the theoretical predication of the generated doubled frequencies.
