Abstract
Launched in July 1999, The NASA Chandra X-ray Observatory became the most powerful orbiting X-ray telescope ever developed. Eastman Kodak Company assembled, aligned, and tested the telescope to meet and maintain stringent imaging requirements while on orbit. Today scientists are obtaining unprecedented high resolution images of phenomena that continue to shape the universe. This presentation provides a description of the telescope configuration, key design features, and the assembly and test operations.
