Thermal and Residual Strain Response of an FBG-Based Temperature Sensor Embedded in Carbon Fiber Reinforced Composites

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

A strain-free temperature sensor based on a fiber Bragg grating loosely embedded in carbon fiber reinforced polymers is investigated. The effects of different anti-stick materials for packaging on the temperature and residual-strain responses are evaluated.
